My boyfriend and I have been going to Ray's for all our car needs and he truly is the best in the business. Him and his employees are always so kind and clear about what your car may need as well as the cost. As a female navigating the car world I often felt like I was being swindled at other places but I always feel like Ray gives me the honest costs. I would recommend his service to anyone and everyone.

Bought a Corvette off of the owners son Hunter(who's a tech here) and man do I love the car. Everyone is awesome at Rays, and u can tell they are very kind hearted individuals. Talked to the owner for a bit while waiting for hunter to return to the shop, and he seems like a great guy... very inviting. Will def be returning again in the near future... Definitely gonna have the Vette serviced here.

I just moved to the area and needed to find a place to have my car looked over. I was doing a 3000 mile cross country trip to bring my car to my daughter in LA and wanted to make sure everything was safe. Ray took me in the day I called and got the car in right away. Only thing I needed was an alignment, had me out the door in under an hour. The best part was he only charged me for the alignment and did the safety check free of charge. He and his sons were very friendly and I will definitely be back in the future. I bought a new Bronco so I won't need him anytime soon however I will be quick to send my son, friends and anyone who is looking for a good mechanic who is HONEST. Ohhh and this may not matter to most but he has the most organized and clean shop that I've ever been in. Great Experience!!!!!

Having now had two repair jobs done at Ray's, I feel pretty confident in recommending them. Ray's communication was quick, straight-forward, polite, and personable. The turnaround time was exceptionally quick. Prices were reasonable. I did feel a little "up sell" attitude, but that is to be expected from any mechanic.

Ray's did a great job for us last week. My daughter put diesel in her gas tank and we had the car towed to Ray's. The owner Ray called numerous times to follow up and they found a really creative solution to getting the gas out of the tank which saved us hundreds of dollars in repair cost. While it was there they also did a super job on her brakes. I've been looking for a garage that I could trust and I've finally found one. I don't mind paying for service and repairs but I wanted a place where I felt like they would give me options and help me find ways to keep my family's cars on the road in a safe and economical fashion without breaking the bank.

Very honest and kind man. My car wouldn't start while I was out and I couldn't figure out why. My fuel gauge is broken and sometimes says it has a quarter tank when it's really empty so I tried putting more gas in it and starting it but it still just chugged so I assumed it was something else and had the car towed to Ray's. Rays team also thought it was just gas and put some in (more than I had put in) and it started right up. Ray and I had previously spoke over the phone about the cost just to look at and diagnose the car and I agreed so I fully expected to pay that amount but he was kind enough to just charge me for the gas. He turned a very stressful and bad day into a not so stressful day. They clearly aren't here to nickel and dime you and I will definitely be going to them for any future car issues.

I stumbled upon Ray's by a stroke of luck, and I'm very happy I did! I entrusted Ray and his crew with my 1977 Corvette, and there's no doubt she was in good hands. Ray is meticulous in his work, honest, communicative, and very fairly priced. Ray took the time to ensure he knew exactly what he was doing before he dove into a project on my car, which even meant cracking open a book or two. I really appreciated this attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond. He was very honest and up front about the cost of work, and which fixes were worth doing, and which were not worth the money (i.e. the cost of fixing very minor leaks in a 43 year old car). He called me every step of the way to explain the work that had been done and to let me know proposed next steps. He always ACCURATELY priced out work and confirmed with me before proceeding. Overall, I'm super happy with the work Ray has done, I'll definitely go back in the future, and I would recommend him to anyone.

My car was almost ruined after it was filled with Diesel. Ray and his team completed the entire operation and got my car back on the road (working flawlessly) the same day it was dropped off - all while taking the time to patiently explain everything and answer every dumb question I had. 10/10. Don't bother looking somewhere else for a honest mechanic with reasonable prices - you already found them.

Dropped my car('14 Explorer) off for an oil change and check for coolant leak. I didn't have much time as I was in town for just a couple of days. They got me in, changed the oil with the proper synthetic, checked the leak ( failed hose clamp) bled the system, put back specific coolant for vehicle and got it back to me by the end of the day at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend them. Nice family business.

Not being from Lowell, my son needed to have AAA tow his car to a local garage for possible repair. We chose Ray's after reading the excellent reviews online. We could not have made a better choice. We spoke with Ray over the phone and he informed us that while he could fix our immediate problem (bad alternator) the labor cost would be very expensive and given the age and rust on the body it would be unlikely to pass another inspection. We decided not to repair the car and Ray took care of selling the car to a local used car parts dealer and getting us some cash back. He charged us nothing fo his time and effort, was extremely helpful, and a delight to deal with. He is a rare breed in this industry and willing to go the extra mile to keep his current and potentially new customers happy. A fair and family owned business which I would highly recommend if you need auto service in the Lowell area.

Rays auto shop is a very good place to go. He is honest with the price and does a really good jod fixing cars. I have been going to him for over 5 years now. He even does oil changes too. All of the guys are great, both Mike's and the other guys can't remember all there name's. Rays is the top guys to go too.

Ray is a great guy with an amazing team working behind him. In the office you are most likely to see Ray or Mike behind the counter and they take it from there. I have had repairs done with Ray's Automotive for well over 8 years and have always been pleased with the end result. Even with some diagnosis items/issues where I was better off letting the vehicle go, he ha always been the helpful mechanic in my corner.

Ray's is seriously the best! I can't say enough good things about him. Last year I came to him with a shot serpentine belt. Another place had "fixed" the serpentine belt 2 years earlier, and clearly effed it up. Rays fixed it right up, walked me through everything they did, showed me the actual parts they used. Phenomenal. He even showed me how he could have spent more time on it if I really wanted, but didn't think it was necessary, so he saved me some $$. They're just the best. And just today brought my car in with shot brakes (yes, it might be time for a new car...) but he gave me a great estimate immediately. Super great guy. Couldn't ask for a better guy to trust with your car. If I could give more stars, I would.

My car broke down after 5pm on a Friday as I was heading home with three 5 year old girls excited for a slumber party! Although they were technically closed Ray and his son helped me find a rental car, so I wouldn't be stranded with the crazy girls, and had my car fixed by noon the next day (their day off)!!!! They are our heroes and I am so thankful there are wonderful people out there! Thank you!
